The Battle of the
Moon Kingdom
The Battle of the Moon Kingdom took place at Sun World Ba Na Hills, Da Nang, Vietnam, from April 30 to August 30, 2022. The show tells the story of a beautiful queen and her people who live in a mysterious castle on the moon. They have to fight against a greedy army that wants to invade their kingdom.
The show features 160 artists, including 90 international ones, and is directed by famous Vietnamese names such as Pham Hoang Nam, Tran Ly Ly, Tom Trandt, and Xuan Thao - Dinh Loc (video & pictures credits: Sun World Vietnam)
I worked as the stage makeup artist for this show, who was responsible for creating the layouts and coaching the casts onsite to apply their makeups. There are several characters such as the queen, the wolf, the owl, and the soldiers. Among them, 90 artists were from various countries such as Russia, Brazil, and Ukraine.
I used different makeup techniques and products to suit each character and make them look realistic and expressive on stage.
